How to use

Happy Birthday is an all-rounder for Mediterranean cooking. Stir it into tomato and pasta sauces, scatter it over the finished pizza, work it into the ragù sauce for lasagne, mix it with olive oil for fried potatoes and roasted vegetables, or stir it into cream cheese and yoghurt dips.

Good to know: Roman Spice is mild and salt-free. Salt your dish to taste and add the herbs early so their aroma develops.

Quick tomato sauce with Happy Birthday in 4 steps

1. Sweat a diced onion in olive oil until translucent.
2. Add a tin of chopped tomatoes and stir in one to two teaspoons of Happy Birthday Roman Spice.
3. Simmer the sauce for 15 minutes and season with salt.
4. Serve it with pasta or as a base for pizza.

What's in it?

The Mediterranean base is built from garlic, sweet paprika and tomato flakes, with basil and oregano for the typical herb note. Coriander, fennel, star anise, thyme and rosemary round off the blend.
