The Alte Gewürzamt is a spice manufacturer founded by Ingo Holland in Klingenberg in 2001. It is known for its high-quality individual spices and imaginative spice blends.

Ingo Holland, a renowned Michelin-starred chef, founded the company. After his career as a chef, he devoted himself entirely to the world of spices. Today, the company is run by his son, Kilian Holland.

Always store spices in a dark, cool, and dry place. Moisture can cause clumping or mold, so never put wet fingers or spoons into spice containers.

The best-before date is a guide, but many spices often have a longer shelf life. Check the taste and aroma before throwing them away.

Since high-quality spice blends are often more intense, you only need a small amount. Start with less and add more as needed.

Yes, we also sell our spices in so-called “tubes”, so you can easily try them first.

We deliberately avoid any additives in our spices and spice blends.

Unfortunately, it can rarely happen that our spices form lumps. However, this in no way makes them spoiled or less edible.

Spicy can be combined with almost any spice, aroma, and flavor. Please chop or finely chop hot chilies. This distributes the heat more evenly throughout the dish.

When using hot spices, always work your way up to the level of spiciness slowly. Cooking and eating should be fun, not painful.

Capsaicinoids irritate the eyes and mucous membranes! Please be sure to wash your hands after handling fresh or dried chilies. Alternatively, we recommend wearing gloves.

Chili heat is soluble in fat or oil, but not in water. Therefore, high-fat, cool yogurt and quark products are perfect for reducing the heat.

The right of withdrawal applies to every order: You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party other than the carrier designated by you takes possession of the last item. Shipping costs are €6.90 for orders up to a value of €49.99. For orders over €50, delivery is free throughout Germany.

In Austria, shipping costs are €10.90 for orders up to €99.99, and free shipping for orders over €100.
