Product description

Favourite Person, the Café de Paris in a gift tin

Favourite Person is our Café de Paris in a special edition with its own band label, a gift for someone whose taste you value. Café de Paris is the most mysterious herb blend in European cooking, originally developed for the famous Café de Paris butter served with entrecôte. Shallots, mustard, tarragon, chervil, tomato flakes, seaweed and Mediterranean herbs form a layered aroma that unfolds especially well in butter. We mix it in our manufactory in Klingenberg am Main.

How to use

Favourite Person unfolds best in butter. Mix the blend with soft butter into the classic Café de Paris butter, season steaks and pan-fried dishes with it, scatter it over fried potatoes and roasted vegetables, or pair it with asparagus in spring.

Good to know: Café de Paris is a herb blend without salt. Salt your dish to taste, in the butter a pinch is usually enough.

Café de Paris butter with Favourite Person in 4 steps

  1. Stir 250 g of soft butter together with two to three tablespoons of Favourite Person Café de Paris.
  2. Shape the butter into a roll in cling film and chill it for at least two hours.
  3. Slice the cold butter.
  4. Place a slice on the hot steak, it melts into an aromatic seasoning sauce.

What's in it?

The core is shallots, mustard and tarragon, with savory and dill for the herb variety and tomato flakes for a fruity depth. Seaweed, chervil, garlic, chili and Mediterranean herbs such as thyme and rosemary round off the more than twenty components.
