Product description

Cherry wood spice scoop, a kitchen helper made of solid cherry wood

A compact wooden scoop made of solid cherry wood, crafted by G. Klawe GmbH in Haina (Kloster) in Hesse. It is used for easy and, above all, precise portioning of spices, salt, flour and fine store-cupboard goods. Every Klawe product meets the highest quality standards and is the result of passionate craftsmanship, each piece with its own individual wood grain.

How to use

It is best to use a separate scoop for each spice, so that intensely fragrant spices such as cardamom, vanilla or star anise do not carry their scent into milder blends. The compact shape fits any standard spice tin and allows clean scooping without clumping.

Good to know: wipe cherry wood clean dry only, not in the dishwasher and not under running water. Occasionally rub with a little food-safe oil if needed, this keeps the wood looking good.

Frequently asked questions

How do I clean the scoop?
Wipe clean dry only, do not put cherry wood in the dishwasher or under running water. Rub with food-safe oil if needed.

Do I need a scoop for each spice?
Ideally yes. If you prefer not to, wipe the scoop with kitchen paper or a crust of bread before the next spice.

How does cherry wood differ from beech?
Cherry wood has a warmer, more reddish colour and a finer grain, beech is lighter and a little harder. Both are robust and long-lasting.

Does the scoop make a good gift?
Yes, as a small present for hobby cooks and spice lovers, lovely combined with a spice tin or a salt cellar.
