Apricot fruit spread, fruity and aromatic from South Tyrol
A fruit spread made from fully ripe apricots by the South Tyrolean producer Alpe Pragas. A high fruit content, low sugar and the authentic sweet, aromatic taste of the golden-yellow apricot. A classic of Austrian baking culture, a filling for Sachertorte and apricot dumplings, and at the same time a versatile companion for breakfast and the cheese board.
How to use
Classic on rolls, toast, croissant and buttermilk pancakes. An ideal filling for apricot dumplings, Sachertorte, Buchteln and quark strudel. It refines yoghurt, quark, muesli and vanilla ice cream. Also a refined glaze for fruit cakes or tarts.
Good to know: store unopened in a cool, dry place. After opening, keep refrigerated, use within two weeks and always remove with a clean spoon.
Recipe idea: Sachertorte glaze
Briefly bring the apricot spread to the boil, pass it through a sieve and spread it onto the lukewarm cake base. This creates the classic layer between the Sacher sponge and the chocolate glaze.

How high is the fruit content?
75 percent fully ripe apricots, plus only sugar, lemon juice and apple pectin for gelling. Free from preservatives and colourings.
