Chocolate Discs with Pink Peppercorns, dark chocolate with a fruity, spicy note
These chocolate discs combine two specialities from Brazil: dark chocolate with 55 % cocoa and fruity pink peppercorns. The secret lies in the couverture: the cocoa beans are fermented twice, the second time with passion fruit pulp. This gives the chocolate a delicate fruity note that picks up the gently peppery warmth of the pink peppercorns. The discs are made by SchokoLaden by Chris in Großheubach, right in our neighbourhood on the Main. Sold as “Brasilien dreams”, they come in a 70 g clear tin.
How to use
Enjoy them on their own with espresso or tea, as a small gift, on a dessert plate or with a glass of red wine. Chopped, they also make a lovely ingredient for hot chocolate, mousse and desserts.
Important: Store cool and dark so the chocolate keeps its shine and aroma.

Frequently asked questions
What are pink peppercorns?
Pink peppercorns are the dried fruits of the Brazilian pepper tree. They taste slightly sweet and fruity with a mild, peppery warmth.
What does double-fermented couverture mean?
The cocoa beans are fermented twice, the second time together with passion fruit pulp. This gives the chocolate a natural fruity note.
Are the chocolate discs spicy?
Not at all. The pink peppercorns add only a delicate, aromatic warmth that pairs well with the fruity chocolate.
How should I store the chocolate discs?
Ideally cool, dry and dark in the closed tin. This preserves the aroma and shine of the chocolate.
