Pul Biber, Turkish pepper flakes with fruity heat
Pul Biber brings the spicy warmth of Turkish cuisine to your plate. The bright red pepper flakes taste fruity and slightly sweet, their heat builds gently and stays pleasant. In Turkey they sit on almost every table, as naturally as salt and pepper do here. We pack Pul Biber in our manufactory in Klingenberg am Main.
How to use
Pul Biber seasons kebab, lamb, minced meat and grilled vegetables, refines yogurt sauces, hummus and lentil soup and is the classic topping for egg dishes such as menemen. Sprinkled over pizza, pasta, feta or salads it adds colour and a fruity warmth.
Important: Add Pul Biber at the end of cooking or briefly heat it in warm butter or oil. This releases its fruity aroma best without burning it.
