Product description

Gemüseschmackes — the all-purpose spice blend for mindful cooking

Gemüseschmackes is an aromatic spice blend with vadouvan depth, Mediterranean herbs and a fine tomato note. It was developed to refine vegetable dishes, stews and potato dishes the easy way — no flavour enhancers, no additives, with plenty of taste.

What does Gemüseschmackes taste like?

The blend unites the fermented savouriness of vadouvan with sun-ripened tomato, Mediterranean herbs and a fine, balanced heat. The result: deep aromas reminiscent of southern European summer cooking — warm, rounded and unobtrusively complex.

Which dishes is Gemüseschmackes good for?

Gemüseschmackes reliably accompanies roasted vegetables, potato dishes, vegetable pans, stews, bowls, pasta and pulses. It also shows its full potential on tofu, lentils and soups. A tablespoon while searing, roasting or cooking — done. Tip: also scatter over breaded fish, as our customers recommend.

Made in Klingenberg am Main

Like all our own spices, Gemüseschmackes is made and bottled in our workshop in Klingenberg am Main — by hand, without anti-caking agents, without superfluous ingredients. Available in the 7 g sample size, the 35 g tin, the 75 g tin and the 500 g catering tin.

Goes well with: Gewürzamt Vadouvan as the pure spice, Franconian bread spice for rustic breads, or put together as a gift box.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference from a classic vegetable seasoning?
Gemüseschmackes contains fermented vadouvan and therefore an umami-like depth that classic vegetable blends lack. Instead of merely seasoning, it gives the dish a roasted, slightly sweet heft.

How do I dose Gemüseschmackes?
Rule of thumb: 1 tbsp per 4 portions. Straight into the oil while searing, or scattered over roasted vegetables at the end. For a more intense taste: double it.

Is the blend vegetarian / vegan?
Yes, vegan. It contains mustard, celery and peanut oil (allergen note). Please check the label.

How does it differ from Vadouvan?
Vadouvan is the base spice blend. Gemüseschmackes contains vadouvan plus Mediterranean herbs, tomato, garlic and additional pepper — oriented more towards the Mediterranean.
