Curry ketchup with its own curry blend, fruity and savoury from the workshop

Curry ketchup is the German answer to the currywurst – and our answer to industrial ketchup with flavourings and thickeners. We use sun-ripened tomatoes and our own, harmoniously balanced curry blend from the workshop. The result is a ketchup that tastes of tomato and of curry – not of sugar and acidity. Made and packed in Klingenberg am Main, without flavour enhancers and without additives.

How to use

A classic for currywurst, fried sausage, chips and burgers. It refines sandwiches, hot dogs and grilled meat. It works as a base for spicy dips, BBQ marinades and quick pasta sauces. Also as a seasoning in stews, minced-meat pans and Asian bowls. After opening, store cool and use up within a few weeks.

Important: the curry ketchup is noticeably more aromatic than industrial products. A smaller amount is usually enough – best to taste first, then add more.

Ingredients for 4 people:

Preparation: fry the sausages all over in hot oil and cut into slices. Heat the curry ketchup with a little water in the pan so that it becomes slightly thinner. Toss the sausage pieces in it and arrange on plates. Dust with extra curry powder. Serve with chips and fries seasoning.

Why our curry ketchup? Industrial ketchup often has more sugar than tomato, plus starch, flavourings and acidifiers. Our curry ketchup is pure taste – tomato, curry, sweetness from the fruit itself. Adding extra curry powder lifts the taste to snack-bar level, with honest ingredients.

What sets your curry ketchup apart from supermarket products?
We use only tomatoes and our own curry blend, without flavour enhancers, thickeners or flavourings. Industrial products often contain more sugar and starch than tomato – with us it is the other way round. You taste the tomato and the curry, not the additives.

What can I use curry ketchup for?

Is the curry ketchup vegan?
Yes, all ingredients are plant-based. The curry ketchup contains no animal components and therefore also goes with vegetarian and vegan sausages.

How long does curry ketchup keep after opening?
Store sealed in the fridge and use within four to six weeks. Since we use no preservatives, the shelf life after opening is shorter than with industrial products – that is normal and a sign of honest ingredients.
